Mark and I had a great christmas break here in Hawaii! We where sad that we didn't get to go home but decided to make the best of it and treat it like a vacation. So we both got a week off of work so we could live it up and do all the fun things we hadn't had a chance to do yet! We kicked it off with a fun day at Pearl Harbor! I have always wanted to go and it did not dissapoint. We loved learning about what happened there. The Arizona Memorial was cool to see, we could still see the oil in the water. After Pearl Harbor we spent the night in Waikiki hot tubing and having a blast! Mark surfed pipeline for the first time. He was so excited to be surfing on these big waves, and it quickly became his new favorite surf spot. He made me a little nervous dropping in on 5 foot waves, but I am proud of him for being so passionate about surfing, and for picking it up so quickly1! We had dinner at our favorite restaurant Kahuku Grill. We did a beautiful hike ...
Over the summer Marks family got family pictures taken. I wasn't super pumped about it at first because I was 32 weeks pregnant but they actually turned out really cute. She also did a few maternity shots of Mark and I. I was not to sure about them at first but they turned out really cute. Now for a pregnancy update I am 37 weeks pregnant today I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I am hoping I have started to progress in the right direction to get this baby out of me. Now for a life update this last weekend was a crazy one in the Davis household. First, Mark had his first game as a college coach, he was very nervous but they came out on top so he got his first win. Second, Mark got a call from the stake president of the Single stake here in Laie last week and was asked if we could meet with him. He asked him to serve as the second counselor in the bishopric. He was very humbled by this we did not exp...
Skiing with our kids is something that we have made a priority in our family we try to go once a week. It is a something that is not always easy, skiing with a 5 year old and 2 year old is a lot of work and not always fun. I am usually a sweaty mess with a sore back and legs by the end! It is still so worth it to go and keep going, our children sincerely love to ski and watching them find that freedom of flying down the mountain is pure joy. Although they love to ski this does not mean that every moment on the mountain is pure happiness. This picture will always make me laugh because moments before we were "that" family on the mountain you know the ones with crying kids and flustered parents. I don't know why but it suddenly became very funny to me and I wanted a picture of my crew. Im sure that Mark thought I was crazy but like the good sport that he is he smiled for my picture. After this we skied to a little lodge with chairs and took our skies off...
