The Day We Met The Prophet!

So a Few weeks ago President Monson and President Eyring came to laie to dedicate the temple. It was an amazing experience to be a part off! Leading up to him coming they did a temple open house and we had the opportunity to help usher and clean the temple. It was very cool to be inside the temple at night with only a few other people cleaning it. We felt a spirit like no where else. Then when the prophet came he went to the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) to watch some of the shows. I work at the PCC so I was able to get the inside scoop on when he would be arriving and what shows he would be going to! So of course Mark and I jumped at the opportunity to get to see him so close. We where able to go to three different villages at the same time as him and snap a bunch of great pictures. But the coolest part was getting to shake his hand. It has always been a dream of mine to get to shake the prophets hand, and to get to actually do it was something else. He was so patient and kind and tried to shake as many peoples hands as possible. It was fun to get to see his reactions to the shows he was laughing and having a good time. He would call all the children to him and give them hugs, then he would point at them and say "now you have to go on a mission" ha ha it was so cute. I got some great pics they where with my old camara so they are not the best picture quality but are stil cool!

This little boy was very lucky the prophet gave him his Lae to take home!

This is their escort, and the pimped out golf carts they got to drive around in!
All in all it was an amazing experience that we will always remember and are so grateful we got to take part in it!
